Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!

Football season has arrived and we are so excited!  We have been busy over the past month making shirts, jerseys, sweatshirts and bags for all our football moms, aunts, grandmas, sisters and super-fans. Cocktail Time!

How about a Rhinestone Lagoon?  I’m new to the Rhinestone Dealer, it’s my first post, and I’m a bit nervous. So let’s have a Rhinestone cocktail and get started!

Not sure about the name of this drink, but the name is better than Rhinestone Cowboy! (So cliche)  Any folks in Maryland who visit Harrison’s Harbor Watch in Ocean City MD… send pictures with a review. Love to know what makes it a Rhinestone cocktail.

A Smurf-tastic Costume

For Halloween this year my daughter decided that she wanted to be Smurfette.  But she didn’t want to be a traditional Smurfette, she wanted to wear a costume like the one Katy Perry wore to the movie premier of The Smurfs.  I talked about this costume in a previous post because it had extensive rhinestoning.  In case you didn’t get to see it or haven’t read my prior post, here’s a picture of that costume.

While Katy’s dress is beautiful, my daughter is only 8 years old, so we came to a compromise.  She would wear a similar dress (with straps) and I would make the rhinestone Smurfette.

One of the reasons I agreed to make this costume was because I wanted to try out my new rhinestone transfer equipment I recently acquired to service my clients needs.  I figured, what better way to learn the ins-and-outs of a new piece of equipment than to experiment with my daughter’s costume!  As you can see below, the final outcome was not as elaborate as Ms. Perry’s costume, but then it was only going to be worn once, for a few hours, at night…

Fancy Nancy – So Gorgeous (Another Word For Beautiful)

As I mentioned in my previous post, my daughter wanted to be Fancy Nancy for Halloween.  I thought you would like to see the entire costume including the shoes I had posted earlier.  Notice that I also rhinestoned the costume.

As Halloween approaches I have been diligently putting together my kids costumes.  My youngest daughter wants to dress up as Fancy Nancy.  For those of you that don’t know the character, Fancy Nancy is a young girl with a larger than life personality, who adores all things fancy. She always dresses extravagantly, wearing boas, tutus, ruby slippers, fairy wings, and fuzzy slippers.  Fortunately, I already had a Fancy Nancy custom costume that was made for my older daughter when she went through her “Fancy Nancy” phase, but I was lacking shoes.  Some strategic hunting by my mother at the thrift store, a couple of gross of Rose Rhinestones and some glue solved the problem.  I am very pleased with the denouement (that’s a fancy word for “result”).  What do you think?

The Manzos Make Halloween Scary

With Halloween creeping up on us,  I thought I would share a pumpkin created by Dina Manzo, a former cast member of the TV Show “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”  Manzo now hosts HGTV‘s new “Dina’s Party.”  This rhinestone-decorated pumpkin uses a number of different sizes, shapes and colors of rhinestones to achieve this visual masterpiece.  As you can see, it even uses some metal nail-heads to create interesting and glittery designs.  For those of you looking for a way to make your Halloween pumpkins stand out, consider using rhinestones to give it that creative edge.

Custom Made Rhinestone Stilettos

Check out these wild shoes I found on the web today.  These Stiletto shoes are covered almost entirely with Crystal and Jet Rhinestones.  They also have metallic Spikes on the heel area to give them an even more edgy feel.  These shoes are custom-made and are available in 42 colors.  Not sure what party I could wear them to, but I’m sure it would be one to remember.  While I don’t offer these shoes on my website, I do offer custom rhinestoning.  If you have a pair of shoes or something else, please feel free to contact me if you them blinged out like this.
